MPPC AIDS Service Brainstorm, 01/18
Hello, Everyone! As you may or may not know, MPPC is organizing an all-church weekend of service on April 1 & 2. The church leaders have chosen 4 different areas/topics to address on those days (poverty, education, at-risk-youth, and AIDS!). This is an incredible opportunity to get our church involved and aware of the AIDS crisis.
WE NEED YOUR HELP!
We will be holding a BRAINSTORM SESSION at MPPC this Wednesday, January 18th (7 - 9 pm), in the 934A Conference Room (building adjacent to church near Coldwell Banker) to begin determining what service projects we should select. We would love for as many people to show up for this as possible (as we will need lots of brain power on this!). In addition, we are looking for people to lead the various projects and volunteer in other aspects of coordinating. Please also show up if you would like to take a leadership role (big or small).
If you cannot make the meeting, but have ideas or would like to be involved, please email me (megan@realizeaids.org).
If possible, we would like for each person to come to the brainstorm with one idea of a service project we could do. Keep in mind some of the following factors:
- Should be hands-on
- Should be extremeley relevant/necessary to those who have AIDS
- Should be something that is relatively easy to do
- Something that we can use to build an ongoing service op or relationship
Please distribute this email to anyone else you feel might be interested in brainstorming/leading. And start praying for this incredible opportunity!
See you on Wednesday!
Cheers,
Megan
